| When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: outgoing, influential, and creative. The three careers that match my style are: lawyer, hairstylist/cosmetologist, and judges/ hearing officer. From this information I have decided to explore becoming a lawyer. I selected this job because I enjoy debating and helping others. One of my daily activities as a lawyer would be to advise and represent clients. I also have to prepare cases. In addition, I have to make sure I have the right court dates. To work as a lawyer I need to get a master's degree and or/ a doctoral degree. I must be good at writing and speaking in order to become a well trained lawyer. In the United States, the average salary for a lawyer is $124,750 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $129,414. In the United States by the year 2016 employment for a lawyer is expected to increase by 11.0%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016 it is expected to increase by 21.9%. I am looking forward to becoming a lawyer in the future. |
